  • Can you accommodate guests with dietary restrictions?

    Of course! We have a variety of hearty and delicious menu options to accommodate your guests who may have dietary restrictions such as gluten, dairy, nuts, and meat. 

  • Can you help with DIY décor placement?

    We can absolutely assist with centerpiece placement, candle lighting, etc. Depending on the amount of work involved, additional fees may apply. 

  • Do you handle bar service?

    Yes, we have a variety of beverage and bar packages available to our clients. If you are providing your own liquor, we can provide bartenders, ice, garnishes, and disposables for a reduced rate. 

  • Do you handle set-up and clean up at venues?

    Yes! On average we will arrive on site at your event 2 hours prior to guest arrival to assist with the set-up of the space and stay an hour after guest departure, until the space is fully broken down and cleaned up. 

  • Do you handle tableware, glassware, and linens?

    Yes, we work with several trusted vendors to provide our clients with quality table enhancements, linens, entertainment, and more!

  • Do you have a food and beverage minimum?

    For delivery and set-up orders, we require a $450-600 food and beverage minimum, depending on delivery tocation. For our serviced events, we do not currently have a food and beverage minimum, but other restrictions may apply. 

  • Do you make wedding cakes?

    We do not create wedding cakes, but we would be happy to cut and serve yours at no cost. We do provide an array of other desserts such as bars, cookies, brownies, trifles, and cupcakes. 

  • How far in advance do I need to sign with you before my event?

    For larger events such as weddings, we recommend signing 6 months to a year out. However, as long as we have your date available, we are able to plan and execute your event in far less!

  • How long does it take to receive a proposal?

    Once you have been connected with your event consultant and have been able to fill out our Request for Proposal form, you will have a proposal within one week. 

  • My venue is not listed on your website; can you still cater my event?

    As long as your venue allows outside caterers and it falls within our areas of service, we are always happy to execute events in new spaces!

  • What areas do you service?

    We primarily service Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. However, we have gone as far as some parts of Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Michigan!

  • What is the difference between True Cuisine and Sweet Baby Ray’s Catering?

    Our True Cuisine menus reflect seasonally inspired ingredients with refined flavors and trend-setting presentation. Sweet Baby Ray’s menus pair rustic cooking methods with locally sourced ingredients for a more relaxed event experience. The best part – we’re all one team, so if you would like to customize your event to include offerings from each brand, that’s entirely possible!  

  • What levels of service do you provide?

    We offer a variety of service levels. For a simple drop-off, we deliver the food to you, set up your buffet and leave the rest to you. If you wanted to upgrade to a set-up, we will include warming units for all hot items. For this level, you can choose to add a buffet attendant to replenish and even serve the food to your guests. Finally, with our full-service events, our professional team is on site from set-up to clean-up, so that you simply get to enjoy your event. This level includes beautiful buffet embellishments and presentation vessels. 

  • What styles of service do you offer?

    We offer all service styles including buffet, plated, stations and family style. Our most cost-effective style of service is buffet, while our highest end is family style service. 

  • When can I come in for a tasting?

    Once we provide you with your custom event proposal for your full-service event, we would love to schedule a tasting with you at our facility in Wood Dale to determine if we are the best fit to execute your event!
