Dave Raymond, aka Sweet Baby Ray, is a lifelong Chicagoan with more than 30 passionate years of preparing and serving food that people love.
Dave created Sweet Baby Ray’s barbeque sauce that is now the best-selling barbecue sauce in the country. Raymond owns two barbeque restaurants, “The Home of Sweet Baby Ray” in Wood Dale run with his nephew, Duce, and one in Elk Grove Village.
Dave is the founder and President of the Illinois Barbecue Association and President elect of the National BBQ Association.
Larry “Duce” Raymond was destined to become a leader in the food hospitality business and began working in the food service at age 12. His desire to learn and practice the culinary arts blossomed into a passion.
His specialties include Southern and Central American cuisine and, of course, barbecue– which he has perfected at such recognized events and venues as the Taste of Chicago, the Naperville Ribfest, and the Wrigley Field (home of the Chicago Cubs) rooftops.
