Mike McGinn

Product Director

Mike McGinn has always been passionate about the hospitality industry. His first job was at the local TGI Friday’s where he worked for 5 years as a host, food runner, busser and server. It is here that he realized he wanted to pursue the industry as a career. 

Upon graduating from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in food science and human nutrition, Mike began his first job as a project manager at SBR Events Group. After a brief hiatus, he returned to the company in the operations role of Product Director and has been doing so since 2017.

Mike enjoys asking the right questions to make sure the logistics of an event go off without a hitch. When an event goes well and the client’s vision is realized, this is the most satisfying part of the job! 

Outside of work, Mike is the father to his calico cat, Ginger. In his free time, he enjoys watching reality tv, cooking and finding creative ways to decorate his apartment.
