Duce Raymond

Larry “Duce” Raymond, son of Chef Larry Raymond and nephew of Dave Raymond, the creators of Sweet Baby Ray’s Barbecue Sauce, was destined to become a leader in barbecue and hospitality.


Duce grew up in and around restaurants and began working in the food service at age 12. His desire to learn and practice the culinary arts quickly blossomed into a passion. He later attended Kendall College Culinary School, graduating with a degree in Culinary Arts, and completing a bachelor’s degree program in Culinary Study.


Now, pouring that same zeal into his current work, Duce creates memorable moments and amazing food as the Managing Partner and Director of Culinary for SBR Events Group, a collection of brands including Sweet Baby Ray's Catering & True Cuisine Catering. His specialties include Southern and Central American cuisine and, of course, barbecue– which he has perfected. His own line of sauces, Duce’s Wild, are a testament to his expertise and refined palate.


With over 95 local, regional, & national awards for barbecue and catering, Duce has been privileged to work in virtually every part of the hospitality industry and loves taking on the challenges that come with running a growing business.


His dedication to his craft is paralleled only by his devotion to his family; his wife Sarah, and their daughters, Madeline, Emma, and Lauren. They are the cornerstone of his life, providing the love and support that fuels him and his success.


He also serves as an educator and online personality for his brands' 500,000+ social media followers, making weekly appearances on the well-received "BBQ Like a Boss" TikTok show and providing his clients with informative digital content.


Whether online or in-person, Duce loves sharing his passion and helping others in the industry. He hopes to bring value to anyone seeking new ideas or insights and looks forward to sharing what he learns as he continues his journey in barbecue and hospitality.
